Samsung has extended the One UI 6.1 update to its mid-range lineup, with the Galaxy A73 and Galaxy A33 being the latest recipients. The A73’s update, identified as build A736BXXU7EXDC, is now rolling out in Malaysia, weighing in at 2.6GB. Although it brings the April 2024 security patch, the absence of the May patch is noticeable. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A33 is receiving its One UI 6.1 update in Singapore, marked as build A336EDXU8EXDD, also exceeding 2GB in size.
Interestingly, these updates do not include the Galaxy AI features introduced alongside the Galaxy S24 series earlier this year, which remain exclusive to Samsung’s high-end models. This maintains a distinction between mid-range and flagship devices, suggesting that for those keen on utilizing Galaxy AI features, opting for a high-end Samsung device remains the primary choice.
