Leaks about the Android 15 release date

Google has already submitted the Android 15 code to the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), but has yet to release an update for its supported Pixel devices. Rumors suggest that the update will arrive next month, and now there’s a potential release date.

According to a new report, Google plans to begin rolling out the Android 15 update over the air to Pixel devices starting on October 15. However, this date could still change if significant bugs are discovered in the meantime.

Android 15 will be available for Pixel 6 and newer models. The delayed release, compared to AOSP, may help ensure that the update is polished and free of major issues.

The update will also reach the newly announced Pixel 9 devices, which broke from Google’s tradition of launching in October by being unveiled in August. These models launched with Android 14 but will receive Android 15 on October 15, aligning with the rest of the supported Pixel lineup.
