New Leaks Surface for Apple iPhone 16 Series: Dummy Units Spotted Alongside Size Comparisons

As the launch of Apple’s iPhone 16 series approaches, we’re seeing a flood of highly credible leaks making headlines. The latest ones, originating from X (also known as Twitter), feature dummy units of all four upcoming iPhone 16 models captured side by side for size comparison.

It appears that the speculations regarding size adjustments were accurate, with the Pro models indeed offering configurations of 6.3 and 6.9 inches. Meanwhile, the non-Pro model will stick to the older 6.1 and 6.7-inch designs. The iPhone 16 Pro Max, in particular, stands out for its sheer size.

Noted tipster Sonny Dickson further confirms the design changes coming to the non-Pro iPhone 16 series. The images of these dummy units clearly showcase the new direction Apple is taking with its design. According to the leak, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will finally ditch the diagonal arrangement for rear cameras.

The design aesthetics for the standard models of the new iPhone lineup now bear more resemblance to the 5-year-old iPhone X series. The introduction of two vertically stacked lenses in a pill-shaped housing marks a noticeable departure from Apple’s usual design patterns.

Apart from this nostalgic design shift, there don’t seem to be any major changes in appearance on the horizon. While there are rumors circulating about new colors for the iPhone 16 lineup, none of them appear particularly reliable. However, there are several internal upgrades to anticipate.

The primary focus for the upcoming iPhone 16 series is spatial videos, hence the alteration in camera arrangements. Expect some camera enhancements and the introduction of a new Apple A18 Bionic series chipset across all four products. These phones will come preloaded with iOS 18, featuring AI-focused functionalities right out of the box.
