Oppo announced the Reno12 F 5G, a mid-range smartphone featuring MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset, a 120Hz OLED display, and a 50MP main camera. Now, Oppo has unveiled a new variant of the Reno12 F equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 chipset.
The Oppo Reno12 F 4G, which sports the Snapdragon 685 chipset and 8GB of RAM, resembles its 5G counterpart but introduces an additional Matte Grey color option, alongside the existing Amber Orange and Olive Green hues. The Reno12 F 4G offers 8GB of RAM and comes with storage options of 256GB or 512GB. However, it supports the older Bluetooth 5.0 standard, compared to Bluetooth 5.3 on the Reno12 F 5G.
The rest of the specifications are identical between the two models, including a 6.7-inch OLED display, a 50MP+8MP+2MP camera setup, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W SuperVOOC charging. The software is handled by ColorOS 14.0.1, which includes Oppo’s AI suite featuring AI Recording Summary, AI Summary for text, AI Writer, and AI Speak.
Oppo has not yet revealed pricing and availability details, but updates are expected soon.
