Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will feature a 200 MP main camera.

Samsung is gearing up to release a Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, which is expected to be slimmer than the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6. This new foldable device will also boast an improved camera system, with a 200 MP main sensor as revealed by leakster Evan Blass.

The sensor is likely to be the recently introduced ISOCELL HP9, which, while not quite as advanced as the ISOCELL HP2 found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra, still offers Tetra-pixel technology, 0.56 μm pixels, and a 1/1.4″ sensor size.

The Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is anticipated to feature an 8″ foldable display, a 6.5″ cover screen, and a folded thickness of 10.6 mm. Details on the chipset, battery technology, and capacity remain unknown but are expected to be unveiled when the phone is launched, likely in September or October.

While the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will compete with devices like the Magic V3 and Mix Fold 4, current rumors suggest its release will be limited to the Korean and Chinese markets, with no immediate plans for a global launch.
