Infinix Hot 50 and iPhone 16 launch dates confirmed: Week 35 highlights.

As August wraps up and we move into September, the biggest news of the week centered around the launch dates for the Apple iPhone 16 series and the Infinix Hot 50 5G.

Infinix will unveil its “slimmest and most reliable 5G smartphone” on September 5. Meanwhile, Apple’s lineup of the iPhone 16, 16 Plus, 16 Pro, and 16 Pro Max is set to debut on September 10, likely accompanied by the new Apple Watch, Watch Ultra, and updated AirPods.

We also got a glimpse of the Google Pixel 9a in a leak, showcasing a nearly flush camera bar design. The phone is expected to launch later this year.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Ultra is rumored to be thinner and lighter than both the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, weighing less than 221 grams compared to the S24 Ultra’s 232 grams.

Tecno introduced the Phantom Ultimate 2, a tri-fold concept phone that starts as a 6.48-inch device and expands into a 10-inch 4:3 aspect display. While Tecno hasn’t disclosed a release date for its first tri-fold device, it offers an exciting glimpse into the future of foldable smartphones.

Additionally, a hands-on video showcased what appears to be a dummy model of the iPhone 16 Pro Max in Desert Titanium. Whether this is the rumored new color or a variation closer to gold remains to be seen.
